This course expanded my understanding of graphic design by engaging with complex communication systems. Projects emphasized a rigorous design process and visual research, cementing a firm understanding of project audience, ideation, and strategic problem-solving. (This was one of my favorite classes!)

Brand Identity Redesign Project 
Tasked with taking an existing brand, this project involved a deep dive into market research and audience analysis before developing a completely new visual system. Key deliverables included updated logos, color palettes, and comprehensive brand guidelines.

The Whole Package Project
A packaging design challenge focused on redesigning a consumer product (under $5) with zero visual link to the original brand. The core constraints included designing solely with paper packaging and creating a final result created to dominate retail shelf presence and drive consumer attention.

University Summit Design Project
A week-long design challenge focused on rapidly conceptualizing a visually compelling design piece while establishing a subtle, yet distinctive visual identity. This project prioritized fast, creative execution under tight deadlines.

PSA Poster Project
A project focused on creating a series of three public service announcement posters. The assignment required deep research into a relevant social issue and the strategic design of visual communication to benefit a specific non-profit or advocacy organization.
